[info]baba_studio makes beautiful bags, pillows, and Tarot decks in Prague. (If you have "The Victorian Romantic Tarot", that's babastudio.) She's started having occasional posts she calls "The Doors Of Prague", which contain photographs of just that. The most recent instalment is "The Door Handles of Prague". The photographs and the hardware are haunting and lovely; I want the last two quite badly.

Thank-you for the mention. Sadly I can't go and wrench those handles off the doors for you - I think there'd be a major diplomatic incident!

However, I have seen real Baroque hinges appear in junk shops (we have two, though what I will do with them goodness only knows). Perhaps one day I'll come across some handles - I now think I ought to begin keeping an eye out. Mind-you, they might look odd on our modern flat door!
